SOCIAL MEDIA

In our current digital landscape, it's tempting to enforce strict bans on young people over social media. Yet the reality is, today's youth are Digital Natives, more adept at navigating cyberspace than adults, with a deep understanding of its labyrinths even if we try to censor them.

That's why we focus on education, empowering students to engage critically with online platforms. We also challenge adults in our parent workshops to think about their own relationships with their smartphones, to lead by example and be the change we want to see.

This workshop is tailored to meet the evolving needs of today by delving into the psychology behind sharing online; exploring the relationship between social media and self-esteem; learning how to break addictive cycles; and exploring the nuances of monitoring apps.

We champion proactive measures, such as open dialogue and tackling online misconduct. Unlike bans, which can sever social connections and isolate children, our approach aims to prevent such scenarios and mitigate the risk of driving a deeper divide between generations by inadvertently pushing children towards secret online activities, which could pose further risks to their wellbeing.
